Photos of Occupy Tokyo

We are the 99%

“Freedom to march. Freedom to move. Freedom of place.”

"Anger. Japanese people - How long do you plan on keeping your mouths shut?"

No nukes! "Extend a hand of love" (I think it says something like that).

Some great finds today!  A youtube channel featuring videos from the Oct 15 protest: uniontube55.

Protest in Roppongi

Jon Stewart takes a good look at Occupy Wall Street in America on the first portion of his the Daily Show (I highly recommend this one!).

Wikipedia page about OWL in Japanese needs to be updated!

The Yomimuri confirms the Oct 15 protest in Tokyo (for those who can read Japanese).  And again the Mainichi Online.  Apparently demonstrations took place in a variety of places, including Shinjuku and Roppongi.  500 people showed up in front of one Tokyo police department and many cried out against the use of nuclear energy in light of the March 11th earthquake and ensuing meltdowns in Fukushima.
